Truly LIve!

Life Is Precious

It’s not only possible to live a full life today, but it is a promise for all those who believe in Christ Jesus. We can live "a legacy of life” in Christ. Yes, Jesus said, “I come that you might have life and life abundantly.” Yet, there are many people who are Believers, and yet, they don’t feel as though they are living an abundant life. So, what is lacking? Is it them? Is it God? Is it the enemy?

We know that the Word says in John 10:10, “The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy; but I (Jesus Christ) have come so that they may have life, life in its fullest measure" (CJB). The New American Standard version says, “abundant life.”

The promise of life is ours here on earth, as we trust in Him. I’ve actually learned, what this means is to REST in Him. It’s to yield our will to the Spirit of God and also to obey the Word of God. To trust is to yield our will to His. It is to know that the Word of God is truth and active in our lives as we choose to obey the voice of God whether it is an unction, audible voice or Rhema Word.

Rhema Defined: (ῥῆμα in Greek) literally means an "utterance" or "thing said" in Greek. It is a word that signifies the action of utterance.

A Rhema Word is when you have a knowing in your spirit that God is speaking to you through His living Word – The Bible. God speaks to me most often through His Word. That means if I want to hear from the Lord and have an abundant life I need to spend time in His Word and time communing with Him.

The promise of life is ours here on earth, as we trust in Him. I’ve actually learned, what this means is to REST in Him. It’s to yield our will to the Spirit of God and also to obey the Word of God. To trust Him is to yield our will to His. It is to know that the Word of God is truth and active in our lives as we choose to obey the voice of God whether it is an unction, audible voice or Rhema Word.

When our ideology lines up with the Word of God and we are truly living our lives to the “fullest measure” we are a demonstration of the power of God and goodness of God. People see with their own eyes the effect (evidence) here and now!

This is crucial in these last days as there are many voices out there trying to pull Believers away from truth: Away from God. Everyone wants to be free and we are told in the Word that the truth sets us free.

This freedom comes as we abide in the Lord (Jesus Christ). It when we welcome in the presence of God through His Holy Spirit who teaches us all things (John 14:26).

Jesus said, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:31-32).

In John 15, Jesus continues to speak to the disciples about the importance of abiding in Him if we are to bear fruit. We cannot “live in His fullness” unless we are fruitful in fact if we truly learn to REST, YEILD and ABIDE in Him than we cannot help, but live a fruitful life which is a “full life”.

There are three primary principles, which are essential to an abundant life in Jesus and of course all of these require faith. (I will be writing articles on each of these, as they are essential for the Believers walk.)

1. REST – Matthew 11:28-30 and Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

2. YEILD – Jesus said, “Not my will be done, but YOUR will be done. “Like Christ we take up the cross and lay down our lives. (Luke 22:42).

3. ABIDE – As we bask in His presence our joy is made full. (Psalms 16:11& John 15).

As we welcome God into our daily lives (abiding in Him – united with Him) we are transformed into His image: Releasing the old and embracing the new with a transformed heart, transformed spirit, and a transformed mind. The Fruit of the Spiritbecomes very evident in our lives as His presence is with us.

Sin is washed away and we are holy with Him. Repentance comes naturally in His presence. Renewal is a by-product of repentance. As our thinking is changed our actions change. We become a holy habitation in Him: For He is our habitation and He is holy.

Our lives our full (spirit, soul, and body) as we become one with Him. It is an action of faith to move forth believing. Resting in Him is to yield our lives, and this is only possible as we abide in Him. WE dwell with Him!

How amazing!!! Yes, it is possible to live a devoted life with God, which empowers others and invokes them to also abide in God, to rest in God, to yield their will to God so that they too are ”living a legacy of life”.

In fact, in Him our thinking is changed. We become whole in Him. Our thinking should no longer be our limitation and weakness, but aliening to His strength and empowerment for He is strong. He is our strength as we “abide” in Him. Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Life is precious! Breathe in His goodness and ignite your spirit becoming one with God: living eternally. Jesus was and is and is to come (Rev. 1:8). Let’s live to "the fullest measure" in Christ, Jesus celebrating His goodness and demonstrating His love on the earth as it is in Heaven.
